After a long day of research, we stumbled upon this farmers market in the Greenbriar parking lot. We ordered the honey, lemon, mint tea with rosemary and we were revitalized to research another week. There are so many items to choose from and everyone is so friendly. This bag of mixed nuts helped me through the week as well. Get out and make your heart healthy and power up!
Have you noticed the squirrels at Rice University are very social? I was standing at the bus stop with my friend, Ollie (Pictured above). He was very kind and asked me if I had any food. Of course, I did not because I ate it all. He told me that everyone feeds the squirrels at Rice University. So, I guess he told him. What experiences have you had with the Rice squirrels?
Hello Team,
Tomorrow let’s meet in front of Keck no later than 9:00 am. We will visit the lovely Ms. Kaitlin’s lab. I was told we can catch the bus to BRC. It must be kind of far.
All agree? Type Yay!
I had the chance to use the epifluorescence microscope and found Telophase. I was so excited to see this concept up close. I am using my finger in this image to point to the new daughter cells. I was able to see the DNA by using the tag DAPI because DAPI makes the DNA appear blue. This picture is magnified at 20 X’s, 50 um. I can not wait to show my students this image 🙂
Hello my fellow science and math lovers. I am really enjoying taking care of my stem cells weekly. I have to change the media (solution cells are suspended in) daily so the stem cells can receive daily nutrients. If not, they will die. Today we pulled the stem cells from the liquid nitrogen and I was just so fascinated with this process. This is giving me a
memorable experience.
